What a fantastic party for Owen’s FOURTH birthday! His birthday invitation was posted earlier this month, giving away the party theme – DINOSAURS! There were dinos everywhere! The boys decorated with every toy they own – dinos on the shelves, dinos on the tables, dinos in the bathrooms, dinos on the stairs, dinos everywhere!!! Once Owen’s party guests arrived, the kids took turns “digging for dinos” in a bucket of popcorn.
They each got to dig up five mini-dinos. This process didn’t exactly go as smoothly as I’m stating it – with handfuls of popcorn being consumed with every dig and elbows shoving out large quantities of popcorn onto the floor! Good thing the chickens like popcorn, as they got to eat all the leftovers. Once the dinos had been recovered, each kiddo chose their favorite. This lucky dino was destined to be entombed once again, though this time in glycerin soap. Having never made soap before, I wasn’t sure how (or if) this craft idea was going to turn out at all – however, it was a huge success and very easy!
By the end of the party, each kiddo got to take home their own custom bar of lavender-scented soap, complete with their favorite dino stuck inside. I also have to give a shout out to my girls Jen and Sabrina of “Two Little E’s Cakes and Goodies” who custom made Owen’s amazing T-Rex cake and dinosaur egg cake pops!

They did such an amazing job and it really was the “icing on the cake” for Owen’s dinosaur-themed party. After he blew out his candles and I asked him which part of the cake he’d like to have, he replied without hesitation, “THE HEAD!”
Thank you to all the friends and family who attended and helped make Owen’s day so special and memorable. You all thoroughly spoiled him with your generous gifts and attention
This is one he will remember for a VERY long time!
